English Courses

Hello blogger Now i'm going to tell  you mi opinion about English Courses that I haved this year.

In my opinión the course is useful, you can learn a lot if you really like to do. I think that in everything the measure of your obtained  knowledge depend of the interest that you put in learn. About the use of the blogs I think that it's a good way to structure ideas on a different language. Writing about some topic we can learn that the form of use the sentences and words is not the same that in spanish.

I think that I need to improve my abilities to express my opinions and also improve my vocabulary because I always leave off the sentences. I think that I can express ideas in english but with a lot of difficult and I need work in that.

Outside the class I use the english generally to read papers, or works or memories to studying and I am happy because is not too difficult to me understand the texts. Also I use the english to understand some lyrics songs and look movies and series without subtitles (but only sometimes, I need more practice)

The next year I hope to take English C1 (I am not sure about the name) and prepare to take the certifications exams like TOEFL and IELTS. One partner told me about the existence of that course and is not too far, is in FAU and he said that is not too difficult. I think that will be interesting.

Career program

Hi bloggers: today i'm going to talk about my  career program:

In my University, my career has been changed recently, in one hand the cursees has change and in the other hand more people is studying the career so we have several problems such about infrastructure as about the curses.

In first place we need larger classrooms because the sections are bigger (90 students) than previous years (50 students), in second place we need more computers because the two classrooms that we have to do the practice class with estadistic programs are not enough to all students in the career. We have 3 little study rooms and non computers for free use.

Also, we need time to do sports on the campus, because these activities are not contemplate in the program but do this sport courses give some credits there are necessary to achieve the graduate condition.   And, for the last, we need time to take courses in other schools of the university to develop other areas of knowledge.

In the other side of problems, there are some things with the courses like; some topic repeat during the career in several courses and  becoming slow and bored. Some teachers are not really teachers and their abilities to teach some topics are doubtful quality.  In the last place some courses not have an integration in the career, just be here without a really  utility.

Here is my opinion about my career program, i hope that in the future all the problems disappear.

Summer Holidays

Hello bloggers, how are you?

The year almost end and the Summer holidays are right here. Christmas and New year  coming soon, very soon.  But there is a problem, I finish  my year in January not at december :(. So when the University finally ends and the really hot days arrive in first place I will  go to the second practice of my carreer near of Temuco city and when I come back to Santiago I will work on an investigation here, in my university again. Will be a hard January, but i will  try the practice and work  will be fun.

On February I want to work in  other things, maybe on a cafe, maybe on a library… something that have conditioner air. But if a can not do it I would like to go to the beach with my family, my friends or to the south to the see my cousins, that will be great. Anyway if I been here in Santiago I will camp in cajón del Maipo every weekend because is cheap, beautiful and fresh. I will work in my garden, I will go to visit all my friends and I will date with a especial boy every time we can.

I hope to have time to do everything i want because each summer I propose myself do a lot of things and never can finish all. But this is a especial year and I need to finish.

Hello blogger, today im going to talk about my poor knowledge of Astronomy:

Astronomy it’s a science that worry about the mysteries of the universe. I do not know much about astronomy but I think that it’s a very interesting discipline because it can answer the questions “How it all started?” and “We are alone in the universe?”

When I was just a child my uncle “tío Nono” taught me about the stars, we used to sit out of a very tall window in his bedroom and see the night, the constellations. He always tells me stories about the sky, about people in other planets, about OVNIs, about the Big bang, black holes, etc.
When I was in primary school I went to the Planetary of Usach and learn about the story of the cosmos. Many years later, with my best friend, have the possibility to go to the “Cerro Calan” observatory. And we saw alfa centaury in a telescope with all details.  Was wonderful.

Now I am reading a book about the cosmos. In this book show us two astronomy lines. In one hand; the search of an explication to the origin of the universe in continue expansion and in the other hand the mystery of the life in other planets, other civilizations more advance that ours. I am more interesting in the origin of everything than the ET life. I preferred where we go if we pass for a black hole, or how the time is in other worlds. Other universes exist? The time in the other universe it’s the same?    Many questions pass through my head when I think about astronomy. Alma program in Chile, the NASA, the government secret… the magic of elements combinations that create life.

After Forestry

I am in my second year of forestry and when I finish my undergraduate program  I’d like to do something more, but I am not sure about do postgraduate studies maybe do something different like learn another language, painting, carpentry… but if I decide finally do some postgraduate study I think that it must be about conservation,  in Universidad Austral in Valdivia’s city because is an area that calls my attention and sound interesting.

I would like study with par –time course, because I will need time to work. When I finish Forestry I hope move to live alone and for that I need some money.  I imagine a beautiful apartment near of a river or a lake, not very far of my University or Job, moving during the day in my bike and in the afternoon return to my house with my dog.

That just an idea, I don’t know really  what I will do exactly when I finish forestry so now I am trying to live, sleep, and pass all my courses of the semester. It very difficult because is the end of the year and I just like be free, be on vacations, lay in the beach, swim on the pool, etc. We are on November, the end of semester is right here so before think about my  future courses y prefer pass my actually courses jajaja.

Future Job

Hi bloggers, today I am going to talk about my future; Study and Job.

First it’s necessary to soy that I am in my second year of Forestry but I don’t have idea of what kind of job I want to have in the future.... But I know a few think about what I want in my life and they are some reasons to decide study my career too.
In first place I would like to work outdoor, not in an office, hopefully in the forest in different places of my country, preferentially at south of Chile (maybe in reforestation projects, or maybe prevents the fire) But also I would like to work in dry-lands on Coquimbo, La Serena, etc.

I am not sure about that and I prefer south that north of Chile. Anyway, I would work in conservation area, that’s clear.
In addition I would like to travel a lot, to visit other countries and see other landscapes, other kind of forest but I wouldn’t live in other parts of the world permanently. I have my roots in Chile and I want my flowers and fruits here too.

 After finish Forestry I will take a major about conservation or restoration. Maybe I will take an Italian degree too because I like the language. For the last I hope learn about cultivation because I want to have a little house in the south of Chile where I can plant my own food.


That’s my plan about future; study and Job. What’s about yours?

A Finland pick, I would like to visit finland forest in the future 

National Park

Hello bloggers,  today I'm gonna talk about one national park:

The last summer I was in the Queulat National Park and although my visit was short, I remember being wonderful for the beauty of the landscapes.

Queulat is a park located near Aysen City, north of “Puerto Cisne” by the Austral road, in fact, the southern highway passes through the forests; it is a fairly rough ground path and often rains. It’s a very big park and famous because the “Ventisquero Colgante” it is a big hanging glacier on a top of a mountain, we can see from the sea and from de highway. It’s imposing. The park also has several trails besides leading to the glacier, one of them is the "enchanted forest" it is a walk through the forest full of fluor green moss that make it seem like a forest from a fairy tale.

I liked too much the feeling of peace on the paths, the friendliness of the people and the beauty of everything from the smallest thing to the largest. What I didn’t like were de prices; Queulat is very known park and has a big number of visitors, so the ticket to go in are not cheap.

But all in all I recommend it. I am happy have been in that park.

Post 3: Films

Hi bloggers, today my topic is about Films

Since 2014 I became in films lover because I saw Gone with the wind a 1939 American romance film, beautiful and full of drama. At that moment I discovered that exist many movies, very different from the actually commercial films. I like old films, thriller films, etc. I have many favorite films, between them some of Mel Gibson like: The patriot, Brave heart. 

Gone with the wind, to kill a mockingbird, Dance with wolves, Wuthering Heights… always been in my heart.   Psycho, the shining, Eraserhead, Irreversible, Into the void, made me lose my mind… The last samurai, Men of honor, dead poets society, Schindler’s list make me cry and think about be a better person…

My favorite director I think is Quentin Tarantino I like the songs that he use in he’s films, the ways that he tell us a story and the characters that he represent. Pulp fiction, Death proof and From Dusk till dawn, are my favorites with Girl you´ll be a woman soon,  Down in Mexico and After dark are some of the best song I ever ear in these movies. Other Soundtrack that I really love are from Wild, Into the Wild and Lilo & Sitch with songs of Elvis,  Eddie Vedder, Simon & Garfunkel  and I can never go home anymore by Shangri-las.

Well, you can see, I like some films. I think that movies teach us many thinks and show us a part of a history of a Society, a way of think, etc.

I will continue seeing movies, I hope have more time to do this <3

Hi bloggers, today I'm going to talk about a country do I like to visit

Since a few years ago, I discovered that the world was beautiful and have many places with different cultures that I can know in the future.  So from that moment I decided to make everything possible to travel around the world. I like Chile, a like the countries of South America, but the north of Europe ever calls my attention. My favorite countries are Finland and Russia because they are completely different from the world that I know until now.  I hope someday I can visit these places, and look new landscapes, new cities and learn other language, meet other people, taste other foods. Doesn’t matter, how, who with, etc. only reach the objective to arrive to these countries and look the wonderful that they are.

Someday I will be in the Siberian desert or on the Finnish forest full  of happiness.

Vacations

In my twenty years, I have the luck of knew many places of Chile.

On my vacation of 2014 and 2015 I went to south of the country, visited many cities.  My favorite place is a little valley between mountains called La junta, near Puelo River

My Best friend, Paloma, and I visited La junta because a British in the hostel where we sleep a few night in Puerto mont, tell us that these place was very beautiful. So, after know some places Paloma and I went to Puerto Varas and take an old bus.

We traveled between the mountains, lakes and sea, and the bus left us on Cochamó, I little town. From our destiny, we walked 4 hours uphill in the forest.

In La junta there are many paths, for trekking, climbing, etc. We pass three night camping in here, the stars are amazing, the moon, the sunset and dawn. In la junta there are an incredible water slide made from rocks and years of erosion. Paloma and me throwed a hundred times, the water was so clear and clean.

The nature was perfect.

I hope to return this year to “La junta” but now I will go to follow all the paths. 

Subject

Hi bloggers again, today I’m gone to talk about two subjects that I enjoy this semester (yes, I can enjoy subjects).

The first was “Productos y servicios ecosistemicos” I enjoyed because I learned a new way to look the different ecosystems in my country and how the nature link up with society. Also I learned the actually form to look the forest, the value that we give.  

This subject was so interesting as well difficult, the most important difficult was group works. Why? You will think, because my group never could work harmonically! But in general “Productos y Servicios ecosistemicos” was a good subject and the teachers (Rene and Claudia) were good professionals.

The second subject that I enjoyed was “Crecimiento y Desarrollo de árboles” in this subject we saw how a seed become in a tree and why a tree has de characteristics on it wood that it has. Karen Peña, Patricio Corvalan y Magda was my teachers, difficult people.  

Both subject was challenge, they demand a lot of time, study, nights without sleep, etc. But I enjoyed and I learned a lot.

How are you? I am very tired, I hope that the semester end soon. Today I’m going to talk about my favorite websites, they are Instagram, and a blog; “Oye weona”. The first is an app from telephones but we can use in the computer, I like very much photos but I’m not very good take one  so  I enjoy seeing pictures from other people  with more experience, and share my pictures to the world. Also, on Instagram some people up verses, beautiful phrases, memes, etc. We can fun in this website/application from the computer or from the telephone.

The second website is http://www.unaminatela.blogspot.com, there is a blog from a  girl call “Dominga” and here she write about her life, her trouble, etc. The interesting thing about this website is that all stories that you read make you feel identified because this are stories about a normal girl in a normal world. Some Doming’s post made me laugh a lot.

Hi bloggers, this post is a Little late but here is.

My favorite music group is “Calle 13”, I like them from 2011. They are two brothers and some other musicians from Puerto Rico and they sing about politics, repression, war, diversity and sometimes they mix these topics with “love”.

Lana del Rey is another singer, she is so beautiful and her voice is very harmonic. Her songs are all about love and passion, but her style is a little different from other singers, It´s like a 50’ – 60’ style, like Marylin Monroe.

My favorite song is “Ride”    

The last one in this post will be “Sharif”, he is a Spain rapper. His songs are all about love and unloved he always make me cry. He writes poetry with rhythmic tracks. My favorite songs are “Cleopatra” “Si tu me dejaras” and “Triste canción de amor”.   

Well, they are three of my preferred singers.

I chose this photography because it is about a beautiful day with my best friends. We have many photos like this, in different moment of our lives, in different places like beach, school, pubs, etc. 

Each time that we meet, and watch those photos we know that we are older and happier, cause we still are friends <3

Someday, in the future, my friends and I will make an Album with all the moments that we spent together. Our children’s will be friends too and while we talk about the past, they will be playing in the garden.

Hello people, today I’m going to talk about pets.

Set, a cute puppy *-*

First, I need to say that “Wolfs” are my favorite animal because they are beautiful, powerful, and can live alone or with a big family. This is the reason for I’m prefer dogs like pets, they are similar.

 Since I was a little girl I had pets, my first dog came when I was two year old, he was a golden cocker spaniel, his name was Samurai, because my grandfather help me to put this name and he like very much Japan Culture. I love Samurai so much, He was lost many years ago.

Then, come Dion to my life, he was a beautiful German shepherd; he came to my house with only few months of life and stayed in our family for 15 years. He was a guardian, our protector and partner. Sometimes I still miss he, I miss when he run to receive me after school. He died ‘cause an illness.

My actually dog is a Shar pei called Set, like Egyptian god.  He it’s my baby boy, it’s the first dog with I feel really, really connected. When I`m sad he come to me, sit front me and wait that I hug him or stop crying. We go for a walk, play, fight, climb the hills, run around water and sometimes sleep together. When he has been sick I’m cried, run to the doctor to ask for help. I always remembered when he was a little puppy, I sang and he sleep in my arms, when he had date with doctor, I carry he in a back and he put out his head, the people saw him and said “aaw”. He was so cute.

Now he is 5 years old and it’s no cut anymore. Now he is a big, strong and handsome dog and I’m very proud of my friend. I hope he stay with me a lot of time, because I love him with all my heart.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello, today I’ll talk about a piece of technology that I like so much, it is a laptop.

The laptop it’s a great man invention because collect all the programs from a big computer but in a more comfortable form. The laptop is small and light, you can carry to everywhere and use the internet, excel, word, and all the others applications. You can work, or relax, watching a movie, look for some information, some news, watching tv channels and many other things.  

The laptop is useful and I can’t imagine a word without this piece of technology, some years before people must study with information in books, the information wasn’t organize or information that people must looking for was in many places.  Now, with the laptop can search a lot of information in everywhere, in a few minutes, with your own piece of technology.

Hello everybody, i will tell you why I’m in forestry right now.

I love nature and since ever, I been run away from routine. When I’m in the school i frequently imagine a future traveling around the world, or looking for a fossil of an old animal. Whatever, when the PSU come, I need to make a decision and I follow my heart because I  knew Antumapu, and I love the faculty so I search a careers that had been on Antumapu and thats how I found forestry.

I fall in love for the career, I talk with other Foresters about many thinks and finally I decided to try,

And now, I’m here.

My name is Valentina, some people call me Vale, and other people call me Angie because it is my second name. I was born in Sotero del Rio hospital in Puente alto, Chile in February 14 of 1996, a day of love, and that's why my name is my name.

I lived with my grandparent some year in La Florida. Then I move with my parents to a little house in Puente alto. Before my 13 birthday I lived in this house, but then i move to another new house in a hill called La Ballena, my actually home.

When I was a little girl I want to be paleontologist, after that I thought to become in doctor to know everything about de human brain. My next dream was be a navy officer because I want have a different life from the rest of the people and because I love see and ships, for a while a want to be in navy but finally I decide to change my dreams of the future like another major with less rules. That’s why im here in Forestry now.

I love sleep movies, books, music, fantasy, travel, know landscapes in the real world or in the mind of another people.  My new dreams are going to Finland in a near future (maybe a year and half), read the Hobit’s books, see the new season of Game of thrones and travel to the south of Chile with my backpack.

I have a dog, his name is Set like the Egyptian god, he is the love of my life with my little sister Francisca and my very little brother Victor

Todaday i want to speak about some books that i love. 

The Farseer Trilogy are three books written by Robin Hobb. It follows the life of Fitzchivalry Farseer, a trained assasin in a kingdom called The Six Duchies while his uncle, Prince Verity, figth to the red-ships raider and with the conspiration of Jelouse Prince Regal.
